Environmental Commitment
Taking responsibility for our environmental impact
At Bodyworx North West, reducing our environmental footprint is a personal commitment from owner Adam Sumner. These initiatives were his own idea, planned and put into practice himself to reduce waste, conserve resources and help lower the business’s carbon footprint.
Solar-powered workshop
Our workshop electricity is fully off-grid and powered entirely by solar energy, supplying our battery-operated tools and energy-efficient LED lighting.
Making the most of Lancashire’s rainfall
We collect and filter rainwater for washing vehicles, reducing our reliance on mains water and making the most of Lancashire’s plentiful rainfall.
In-house solvent recovery
Our in-house solvent recovery system recycles used thinner and gunwash for reuse, reducing chemical waste and the need for fresh solvents.
Less waste. More reuse.
We recycle cardboard, while damaged plastic bumpers are collected for recycling by a specialist bumper recovery company. Wherever safe and suitable, we repair existing vehicle parts to avoid unnecessary replacements.
Practical changes, personal commitment and care for the environment—built into the way we work.
